Southern Utah is Good For The Mind, Body & Soul

Invisible illnesses and disabilities are not only an internal struggle from chronic pain, intense fatigue, and many other daily struggles, but are an added burden when family, friends, and co-workers, struggle to understand or relate as to why you are not able to do the same tasks anymore because you look “fine.”

People may think you are lazy or even faking it. It can be frustrating and frankly, embarrassing. You must push that out. Focus on yourself and do what you need to in order to relax, and recharge. For me, that is nature and outdoor adventures.

This is my hometown and I miss it more than ever. To be able to drive 10 minutes and be isolated and surrounded by desert and mountain beauty is the best medicine for your body, soul, and mind. I highly recommend visiting this area. It will change your life, your perspective, and renew your fight with your illness or disability.

Washington County, Utah is one of the best places to grow up. Perfect weather in the winter, no humidity in the summer, and it is surrounded by some of the most amazing activities and natural beauty in the country. I can swim in a lake, go fishing, visit Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon, ski in the winter, and many more, with very minimal effort and little travel. Best of all is the wide-open spaces surrounding all of these areas. It goes from desert to mountain peaks and everything in between. This Golf article shows you that this is what the area is most known for.

Hurricane, Utah is one of the best. located in the Southern Corner of the state, with Las Vegas 2 1/2 hours away and Salt Lake City 4 hours away. It is a great community located 35 minutes from Zion National Park. Take a dirt road straight South and you hit the Grand Canyon. The majority of the area is either National Forest Land or BLM land, which is open to the public for camping, hiking, hunting, and many other activities.

If you are curious or have questions, please reach out and I will personally plan your trip. Or visit Greater Zion for more information.
